The Brovary City and District Court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for two months for a 50-year-old man who threatened a police officer with a gun. The bail for the suspect was 242,000 hryvnias.

The man is suspected of hooliganism with the use of firearms, threats or violence against a law enforcement officer and intentional infliction of light or moderate bodily harm.
At the court, the man explained that he and his friends “told war stories” and “behaved inappropriately” a little, but did not touch anyone.
“We sat with our company, we started to tell war stories there. Between us there was a bit on the elevated side, yes, it was. But there was no one in the institution. We were sitting there by ourselves… I understand that maybe we behaved a little inappropriately there, but we didn’t touch anyone.”Zhuravlev began to explain in court.
Then, according to him, they were approached by a waitress who asked to pay and leave the establishment because the company of men had behaved inappropriately.
“I paid, but at that moment the dish was brought to me. I said that I’ll have some milk and then I’ll leave. And ten minutes later, police officers appeared, who in a similar manner told me to settle and get out of here.”, — the suspect continued his story.
This allegedly provoked a fight with the police, which turned into a serious situation with threats of weapons. At the same time, it is known that it was the previously convicted 50-year-old “Zhuravel” who behaved extremely aggressively. He insulted the patrol officers and cursed obscenely, which was recorded on a video that was previously circulated on the Internet.
We will remind that The incident took place on May 8 in one of the establishments in Brovary. After the arrival of the police, the drunken man continued his aggressive behavior, rushed at the law enforcement officers, and then took out a weapon and began to threaten them.
