Cyber specialists of the State Government have blocked fuel cards in the Russian Federation
Cyber specialists of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine conducted a large-scale DDOS attack on the Russian network infrastructure that provides online payments for fuel in the Russian Federation, in particular, servicing of fuel cards.
“The objects of the DDOS attack, among other things, were the platform “advanced payment systems”, which is responsible for the functioning of fuel cards (Rospetrol), as well as the servers of “Rostelecom” and “Lukoil”, the GUR MO noted.
As a result of the operation, Russia suffered financial losses in the amount of 1 to 3 million US dollars. In addition, the Ukrainian specialists inflicted a cyber attack on the information and communication infrastructure of the operator of telecommunications services “K-Corp”. More than 700 switches and 13 servers in two data centers of the company were disabled, which led to a complete stop of its work.
“Operator “K-Corp” became the target of Ukrainian hackers due to the provision of telecommunication services to the Russian defense company “Kalashnikov Concern,” which has the blood of hundreds of Ukrainian civilians, including women and children, on its hands, the GUR explained.
In addition, dozens of online resources were attacked, on the main pages of which congratulations on the Day of Military Intelligence of Ukraine appeared.
We would like to remind you that on September 7, in various districts of Moscow, greeting cards with the logo of GUR MOU and the inscription “Responsibility is inevitable” appeared in public places, on fences, public transport stops, in parks and even on the walls of entrances.
