Dnipro attracted UAH 320 million in credit for energy needs

The Dnipro City Council received a loan in the amount of 320 million hryvnias from Sense Bank for the implementation of projects on the implementation of alternative energy sources and insulation of buildings. The crediting period is 60 months, with a 12-month deferment of principal repayment.

As informs the press service of the Ministry of Economy, these funds will be used under the “Energy Source” and “5-7-9 Available Loans” programs, in particular for the creation of alternative sources of thermal energy. From this amount, 60 million hryvnias will go directly to the city budget of Dnipro for major repairs and insulation of the facades of apartment buildings.

“The restoration of energy-generating capacities today is carried out by the joint efforts of the state, local authorities, businesses, banks and citizens. There are both state programs and private initiatives aimed at supporting these projects. The signing of credit agreements between the Dnipro City Council and Sense Bank is a vivid example of this cooperation In general, banks have already approved applications for financing in the total amount of 4.3 billion hryvnias”, — noted First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyridenko.

Oleksiy Stupak, Chairman of the Board of Sense Bank, emphasized the importance of this cooperation:

“The signing of several loan agreements with the city of Dnipro opens a new page in the interaction between local authorities and financial institutions. In the face of a shortage of energy-generating capacities, local administrations need additional financing, and we are ready to provide it both through state programs and through our own preferential loan programs.”, – he emphasized.
