“Kyivhlib” chain of minimarkets restarts self-service stores

Kyivhlib chain of minimarkets announced the relaunch of self-service stores. It is planned to transfer from 10 to 20 retail outlets into autonomous mode every year, reported the chairman of the supervisory board of the company Yaroslav Fedorenko.

In “Kyivhlib” explained that the decision to introduce self-service stores was made to avoid the risk of work stoppages due to a lack of staff:

“Today it is extremely difficult to find a seller. The situation is getting worse every month.

Yaroslav Fedorenko emphasized that the profits of new and old stores “Kyivhlib” are now comparable. At the same time, the company expects that after the end of the war, automated points of sale will begin to bring much higher revenues due to the ability to work around the clock.

The development of the network will take place at a moderate pace, because changing the format of the outlet, as the previous experience of the retailer has shown, leads to a sharp drop in turnover for about half a year.

“Kyivhlib” – this is a social network, we do not have strong opportunities to make sharp movements, Fedorenko added.

The company plans to gradually accustom customers to the new format.
