Employee bookings will resume until the audit is completed: Shmyhal

The Cabinet of Ministers has promised to resume reservations for people liable for military service in the near future: employees who have been booked until 31 May 2024 will be able to extend their reservations before the audit of enterprises is completed. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, according to Minprom.
After the audit, the government plans to introduce clearer criteria for determining the criticality of enterprises and the need for employee reservations, Shmyhal said. He stressed the need to maintain a balance between the functioning of the economy and the needs of the Defence Forces.
‘We need key specialists to be able to work. And we need rotations of those who have been defending our country on the frontline for more than 2.5 years, and some even longer,’ the Prime Minister said.
Following the government’s decision on 8 October to conduct an audit, the process of recognising companies as critical to the economy and booking them was effectively halted, which led to dissatisfaction among business associations.
Later, the government adopted a protocol decision allowing re-booking of employees who had this status before 31 May. Currently, companies are waiting for regulations to resume the rebooking process.
