For the first time, the Ministry of Defense is preparing to purchase ammunition with contributions from UNITED24
The procurement agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, ATZ, will purchase ammunition for the first time with funds raised through the UNITED24 platform. As informs the press service of the Ministry of Defense, the agreements provide for the supply of ammunition for the total amount of almost 50 million hryvnias.
“The Defense Procurement Agency has concluded the first contract for the purchase of ammunition with the funds raised through UNITED24. The agreement provides for the supply of 47 million hryvnias”, – the message says.
Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klymenkov emphasized the significance of this event, noting that it is an important step in strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities with the help of alternative sources of funding.
“This is just the beginning, and we will continue to provide our military with the necessary resources, including ammunition, to successfully complete combat missions.”Klymenkov noted.
The purchase with funds from the UNITED24 fundraising platform demonstrates that international support and citizen donations can play a key role in meeting the needs of the Ukrainian army.
