The State Emergency Service explained that beds in the Invincibility Points are intended primarily for people who need help due to emergencies or medical conditions. According to the agencies, information about beds in places for heating and recharging gadgets in Kyiv, known as Overnight Points, has begun to appear on the Internet.
“Yes, there are indeed beds in the Invincibility Points of the State Emergency Service. But first and foremost, they are intended for people who need help in an emergency or for medical reasons, the service noted.
However, the main function of such points is to provide an opportunity to charge gadgets, warm up, drink hot tea, and receive psychological support. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine is constantly monitoring the situation and, if necessary, adjusting the format of the work of the Points to ensure safety and meet the real needs of people.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine adds that the situation in Kyiv remains extremely difficult. Currently, more than 90 State Emergency Service heating points are operating around the clock, additional tents have been installed directly in the courtyards of high-rise buildings for maximum accessibility of assistance. Thanks to cooperation with World Central Kitchen and the Red Cross, residents receive not only heating, but also hot food. In addition, it was decided to deploy additional large heating tents, designed for at least 40 people.
