The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine created a special headquarters to coordinate regional preparations for the heating season. About this reported Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in his Telegram channel.
He noted that the headquarters and relevant bodies are faced with the task of promptly responding to any emergency situations and taking into account various scenarios of the development of events. He also emphasized the need for clear cooperation between the Ministry of Energy and the heads of regions to fulfill three key tasks: ensuring the protection of energy facilities, accumulating the necessary reserves and developing decentralized electricity generation.
In addition, the government pays special attention to the protection and restoration of critical infrastructure. This applies not only to energy facilities, but also to the reconstruction of important public buildings, including shelters in educational institutions.
As reported by “Ukrenergo”, the company prepared in advance for the winter period, accumulating a stock of repair equipment three times larger than the standard.
Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko expressed optimism about the possibility of going through the winter period without power outages, provided that Russian forces do not launch new strikes on critical energy facilities that remained intact after previous attacks.
