Head of Khmelnytskyi MSEK Krupa explains for the first time the origin of a significant amount of dollars in her apartment
The head of the Khmelnytsky Regional Centre for Medical and Social Expertise (MSEK) and a suspect in the case of illegal enrichment, Tetiana Krupa, for the first time since her arrest, explained the origin of a large amount of cash found in her apartment. This is reported by Glavkom with reference to the court register.
When considering the motion of the prosecutor of the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office to seize part of the property, Krupa denied the investigation’s accusations. She noted that not all of the seized funds belonged to her family. Her personal money was declared, and the rest belonged to other persons known to her husband, the former head of the regional department of the State Audit Service, Volodymyr Krupa.
Krupa’s husband stated in his remarks to the search report that the seized cash was at his disposal and that he had received some of it as investments for business projects.
In addition, the suspect’s lawyer noted that there was no evidence to prove that the cash belonged to her client. The defence lawyer also stressed that the investigation did not provide documents proving the illegal origin of the funds or their connection to Krupa’s alleged criminal activities.
In addition, the lawyer said that a significant part of the seized funds was found in rooms that the suspect allegedly did not use.
According to the pre-trial investigation, on 3 October 2024, a significant amount of money was seized from Tetiana Krupa’s apartment: $106.1 thousand, 6.7 thousand euros and 67.5 thousand UAH; $315.9 thousand and 25.4 thousand euros in the living room; $253.1 thousand, 70 thousand euros and 143 thousand UAH in the safe in the dressing room; and $2.5 million, 37.8 thousand euros and 702 thousand UAH in another bedroom.
