In China, a man was sentenced to death for driving into a crowd of people

A court in the city of Changde in central China’s Hunan province sentenced a man named Huang Wen to death for deliberately driving into a crowd of people in November. About this reported Xinhua agency.

“The Intermediate People’s Court of Changde City sentenced Huang Wen to the death penalty with a two-year suspended sentence and lifelong deprivation of political rights on charges of endangering public security through dangerous methods”, the message says.

The incident happened in Dinchen district.

“The defendant drove his car into the crowd. After the vehicle stopped, he got out of it and continued to attack passers-by. As a result, 30 people were injured, including 18 schoolchildren.” – reports “Xinhua”.

The investigation established that the motive for the attack was personal problems, in particular investment losses and family conflicts.
