In the Odessa region, a border guard shot himself in the head while on duty
In the village of Mayaki in the Odessa region, a serviceman of the State Border Guard Service shot himself in the head while on duty. The victim was urgently hospitalized, and his condition is currently being assessed by doctors.
Ihor Peregnyak, a spokesman for the Southern Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service, confirmed that the incident occurred with the use of the serviceman’s regular weapon. Colleagues who were nearby immediately called an ambulance and provided first aid until the arrival of doctors.
