In the United States, all American Airlines flights were delayed before Christmas due to a technical failure
On December 24, the American airline company American Airlines resumed operations after a technical failure that suspended all flights during one of the busiest periods of the year. About this informs CNN.
The reason for the flight delay was a technical malfunction that affected all flights in the United States. However, already at 8:00 a.m. local time (3:00 p.m. Kyiv time) the air carrier resumed boarding flights.
The problem occurred on a day when American Airlines was scheduled to operate more than 3,300 domestic flights, according to aviation analytics company Cirium. This complicated logistics and caused delays for thousands of passengers who relied on the airline during the peak travel season.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) lifted a nationwide grounding previously imposed at the airline’s request, allowing operations to resume. Despite an initial 3% drop in the company’s shares before the opening of trading, after the resolution of the problem, their value increased by 1%, demonstrating the prompt recovery of investor confidence.
