In Ukraine, a new drone detector “PES Sirko” was introduced, which works together with electronic surveillance
The Ukrainian company “Babay”, which specializes in electronic warfare systems, presented a new device – the portable drone detector “PES Sirko”. The device can work both autonomously and as part of integrated WB-systems.
“PES Sirko” scans the airwaves 360 degrees and can detect drones up to 2 km away, depending on signal strength. The operating range is from 150 to 6000 MHz, which allows you to capture FPV drones, DJI, Autel and other reconnaissance devices that use these frequencies.
Using a patch cord, the device can be connected to a laptop to review recorded frequencies and identify potential threats. An important function is the integration with electronic warfare systems, in which case the activation of the means of radio-electronic warfare occurs automatically, without the operator’s participation.
“PES Sirko” compatible with own solutions of the company “Babay” (in particular “ZUK” 2M), which can be connected through a special connector, as well as with complexes of other manufacturers. For the latter, it is necessary to install an additional starting relay, after which the detector can be integrated into a single system.
The device weighs 2 kg, has a metal case with IP54 protection against dust and moisture and can work autonomously for 6-8 hours. Connection to a car battery is also provided. If the Internet is available, the detector supports automatic software update.
