In Ukraine, applications for state compensation for the organization of land reclamation systems will be accepted

October 8 in the State Agrarian Register (DAR) starts reception applications for receiving state compensation for organizations of water users and agricultural producers working on reclaimed lands. Submission of applications will continue until October 31, 2025 inclusive, the press service of the Ministry of Economy reports.

The program provides that agricultural producers who use reclaimed land will be able to receive up to 50% compensation for costs, but no more than UAH 26,500 per hectare of cultivated land, for works on the reconstruction or construction of hydraulic infrastructure of land reclamation systems, carried out in the period from November 1, 2024 to October 31, 2025. Organizations of water users will have the right to compensation of up to 50% of the costs for the reconstruction or major repair of pumping stations carried out in the same period.

Only those agricultural producers and organizations registered and operating on the territory of Ukraine will be able to receive compensation, with the exception of the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, as well as regions included in the list of territories of hostilities or temporary occupation without a specified end date.

“Amelioration reform is an important direction for the development of the agricultural sector. Due to climate change and this year’s drought in the southern regions, this assistance has become especially relevant. Financial support for land reclamation during the war is another powerful state aid to the agricultural sector, which has been provided for the second year in a row. Agricultural companies are also making efforts – 69 organizations of water users have already been registered in Ukraine, and their number will increase. In general, our country has the potential to restore irrigation on an area of ​​more than 1 million hectares in the coming years, stressed Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Taras Vysotskyi.
