In Ukraine, digital registration of road accidents is launched in “Diya”

From the first quarter of 2026, Ukrainian drivers will be able to register traffic accidents without calling the police and paper documents, but using a digital European protocol through the “Diya” application.

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced that the new service will significantly simplify the process of resolving traffic accidents.

“Drivers will be able to record traffic accidents immediately at the scene without any paperwork”, – she noted.

“Diya” will automatically download data from state registers – about driver’s licenses, vehicle registration certificates and insurance policies, which minimizes the risk of errors and refusals in insurance payments. To complete the application, it will be enough to take a few photos, coordinate the information with another participant and sign the Europrotocol via “Diya.Signature”.

Users will be able to track the status of the application processing directly in the application, without trips to the insurance company and additional appeals. The service will speed up the settlement of road accidents and reduce the burden on the police.
