Ireland has announced its readiness to send peacekeepers to Ukraine

Irish Prime Minister Michal Martin expressed the country’s readiness to send peacekeepers to Ukraine. He stated this during a meeting with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi. informs Irish Examiner.

“Ireland is open to providing aid, including sending peacekeepers to Ukraine”, – says the statement of Mikhol Martin.

He emphasized that he will make efforts to speed up the process of Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. He emphasized that this issue is a priority, since the membership in the EU provides certain security guarantees for Ukraine. In addition, it opens wide economic prospects for the country in the future.

“We have made it clear that we will actively support the accelerated process of Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. This is an important priority because, firstly, it provides certain security guarantees for Ukraine, and also opens up economic opportunities for it in the future.” – noted Martin.

We will remind that discussions about sending troops to Ukraine resumed in November 2024, after the victory in the elections of US President Donald Trump.
