Kyivstar has been recognized as the best network in Ukraine for the second time in a row by Ookla

After receiving Ookla’s Q3-Q4 2024 honor, the national electronic communications carrier has repeated its success by winning all three key awards for the first half of 2025. Thus, for the second time in a row, Kyivstar received the status of the best network in Ukraine in terms of mobile Internet speed and quality of coverage. Such consistent results testify to the effectiveness of the company’s systematic work on improving the quality of services, reports Speedtest.net.

Ookla’s Speedtest Awards are one of the most prestigious awards for mobile and landline operators in the world. To determine the winners, the company’s experts analyzed 1,119,122 tests conducted by users of all Ukrainian mobile operators in the first and second quarters of 2025. Kyivstar again won three awards at once in the categories “Best mobile coverage”, “Fastest mobile network” and “The Best Mobile Network” in Ukraine.

“Winning three awards from Ookla for the second time in a row is a sign that we are moving in the right direction: we provide millions of Ukrainians with a stable connection, high speed mobile Internet and wide access to 4G. Behind each such recognition are the efforts of our engineers, technical teams, and all specialists of Kyivstar, who work 24/7 so that Ukrainians have constant communication, Oleksandr Komarov, CEO of Kyivstar, noted.

According to Ookla, the speed score (Speed Score) in the Kyivstar network was 56.57, which was the highest result among all mobile operators in the country. Speed Score takes into account download speed, data transfer and latency, which forms a comprehensive picture of network performance. The average download speed in the operator’s network reached 60.63 Mbit/s. This was achieved thanks to large-scale investments in infrastructure development, development and modernization of the network.
