More than 3.8 million Ukrainians received “Winter Support” through “Ukrposhta”

Since November 14, 2025, more than 3.8 million Ukrainians have used the “Winter Support” program through “Ukrposhta” branches, which is about 10% of the country’s population. According to the report of the company’s press service, almost 1.9 million citizens submitted applications in person, and the rest received payments automatically along with pensions and other social payments.

In “Ukrposhta” emphasize that mail remains the only way to access government services for many people, especially in villages, mountainous areas, and frontline communities.

As of early January, Ukrainians had used the program through “Ukrposhta” 2.8 million times. People spent money on Ukrainian-made goods, ordered medicines, made subscriptions, and paid for utilities. The elderly and people with disabilities were able to receive payments at home with the help of a postman who could be called via a hotline.

As reported, the government extended the period for using payments in the amount of 1,000 hryvnias under the “Winter Support” program for recipients of pensions and social benefits through “Ukrposhta” until the end of February 2026.
