The Ministry of Digital Affairs has updated the CEP verification service according to EU standards
The Ministry of Digital Transformation has updated the electronic signature verification service on the id.gov.ua portal. From now on, users no longer need to make paper printouts of protocols, screenshots of the screen, or certify documents with “wet” seals to confirm the validity of a qualified electronic signature. This is reported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
“We are building a digital state according to European practices: we have radically updated the service for verifying (validating) electronic signatures (CEP) on id.gov.ua – now it meets current EU standards and issues a validation result in electronic form, which has full legal force,” the ministry noted.
The system automatically recognizes both Ukrainian EPCs and electronic signatures from European Union countries. Now, the verification of a contract from a European partner is as fast as a Ukrainian document, which greatly facilitates the work of entrepreneurs, lawyers, and civil servants.
The format of the verification report has also been updated – it is generated with the “Diya” electronic seal.
«Forget about paper printouts of signature verification protocols, screen shots, and “wet” seals to confirm the authenticity of the EPC. Now, after verifying any signature — both Ukrainian and European — the id.gov.ua service generates an electronic report with the seal of the KNEDP “Diya”,” the department reported.
The ministry emphasizes that such a report has full legal force and can be used in internal documents of companies or as evidence in state bodies or court.
The service works without registration: just upload a file with a signature, after which the system instantly provides the verification result and allows you to download an official electronic report.
For developers and businesses that have already integrated the previous version of the service, it will be temporarily left available.
“To adapt systems that have already integrated the previous version of the service, we are temporarily leaving it available. We recommend switching to the new version by June 1, 2026. After this date, the previous version will not be supported,” the Ministry of Digital Affairs added.
