NABU detective Magamedrasulov was informed of a new suspicion

The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Office of the Prosecutor General and the State Bureau of Investigation, announced a new suspicion against one of the heads of interregional offices of NABU detectives, who is already in custody on charges of aiding the aggressor state. This is reported by the SBU press center.

Law enforcement officers do not disclose the name of the suspect, but according to information Censor.NET, it is Ruslan Magamedrasulov.

As noted in the SBU, during the pre-trial investigation it was established that, in addition to assisting the father in trade with the Russian Federation, the NABU official, using his official opportunities and connections, committed actions related to illegal tax schemes of Ukrainian companies.

This information was obtained by the SBU, OGP, and DBR, in particular, from the suspect’s phone. The materials indicate that in the spring of this year, he allegedly received an offer from one of his contacts to help solve problematic issues in the tax authorities for several enterprises.

The correspondence confirms that it was about the adoption of illegal decisions by the State Tax Service regarding the exclusion of about ten companies from the list of risky ones. This should have allowed to carry out financial transactions for almost 30 million hryvnias. The analysis of the activities of these firms showed signs of a “conversion center”. In exchange for assistance, according to the case materials, the NABU official was promised an illegal benefit in the amount of 900,000 hryvnias.

“According to the case file, the Bureau detective accepted the offer and tried to resolve the matter through a former senior official of the State Internal Revenue Service. He also asked for help in this regard from one of the employees of the law enforcement agencies, with whom he worked for some time at NABU. During the interrogations, the mentioned persons confirmed that the NABU employee had indeed addressed them with such a request, – reported in the SBU press center.

The collected evidence became the basis for announcing a new suspicion to the NABU detective under Part 2 of Art. 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of influence).

“We emphasize once again: this criminal proceeding concerns an individual employee of the Anti-Corruption Bureau and has nothing to do with the effective work of NABU as a state institution of Ukraine as a whole. As before, the SBU advocates constructive cooperation in order to strengthen institutional capacities, cleanse it of pro-Russian influence and strengthen the independence of our state, – added to the SBU.
