“The need to import additional volumes of gas is caused by Russia’s massive attacks on gas infrastructure facilities. We are working together with Ukrainian and international partners to attract financial and other resources in order to sustainably pass the heating season in the conditions of Russian terrorist attacks, Koretskyi added.

Cooperation between NK “Naftogaz of Ukraine” and Oschadbank for more than fifteen years. The bank provides comprehensive service to the group, particularly in the field of lending.

“Supporting the energy security of the country is one of the priorities in the work of Oschadbank. Especially during a full-scale war, when the enemy destroys generation facilities, power grids, and gas pipeline infrastructure. Of course, we could not help but support our permanent partners – the Naftogaz group – in preparation for the heating season,’ noted Yurii Katsion, deputy chairman of the board of Oschadbank, responsible for corporate business.

This year “Naftogaz” plans to allocate 2.5 billion dollars to the purchase of gas for a stable winter. Of them, 1 billion are the company’s own funds, and another 1.5 billion were provided by the EBRD, the Norwegian government and other international financial institutions.

In addition, “Naftogaz” concluded three credit agreements with PrivatBank, Ukrgasbank and Ukreximbank in the amount of 11.85 billion hryvnias for preparation for the 2025/2026 heating season.
