The Norwegian company “Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace” plans to produce missiles for NASAMS air defense systems in Ukraine. Currently, the process of creating a company in Ukraine is underway, said the company’s president, Eric Lee. About this informs Euractiv.
“We are currently establishing a company in Ukraine. We are conducting close negotiations with representatives of Ukrainian industry regarding the creation of a joint venture. The first priority is to increase the production of missiles for our air defense system in Ukraine based on Ukrainian technologies.” – said Lee.
According to him, it is about setting up mass production of missiles and the prospect of creating joint ventures with Ukraine within a few months.
“In the long term, when the war is over, Ukraine can become part of the missile supply chain for air defense systems. There is a lot of innovation happening in Ukraine right now, and we will be part of it. It is important for us to be there.” – he explained.
