Preferential mortgage “eOselya”: the government increased rates and improved conditions for young families

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made changes to the “eOselya” affordable mortgage lending program related to the conditions of the minimum contribution and payments. In particular, for young people under the age of 25, the minimum down payment has been reduced to 10%, while for senior citizens it remains at the level of 20%. This is stated in texts the relevant resolution.
For the military, security sector workers, doctors, teachers and scientists who take out a loan for 20 years, the preferential rate of 3% will be valid for the first 10 years, and then it will increase to 6%. Veterans, combatants, IDPs and citizens without their own housing will also receive benefits: for them, the rate will be 7% for the first 10 years, after which it will rise to 10%.
In addition, insurance rates have been increased to 1.25% of the value of the mortgage object, taking into account the risks of damage to housing due to hostilities. Innovations also make it possible to purchase housing in new buildings designed according to the new legislation within the framework of this program. At the same time, housing in architectural monuments entered into the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine cannot be purchased with a preferential mortgage.
