Putin invited Zelensky to meet in Moscow

During his visit to China, Russian President Volodymyr Putin stated that he is ready to hold a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, provided proper preparation is done. He named Moscow as a possible place of negotiations, reports Polska Agencja Prasowa.

“I said yes, it is possible. After all, if Zelensky is ready, let him come to Moscow — such a meeting will take place. If a meeting is prepared, I am ready for it. If common sense prevails, it will be possible to find a way to end the conflict in Ukraine acceptable to all “, Putin noted.

He also repeated the thesis that Russia is allegedly not waging a war to seize territories, but is acting “for the rights of the people who live there”. In addition, Putin again spoke out against Ukraine joining NATO.

In response, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha noted that at least seven states have already expressed their readiness to host a bilateral meeting of leaders. Among them are Austria, the Vatican, Switzerland, Turkey and the three countries of the Persian Gulf.

“These are serious proposals, and Volodymyr Zelenskyi is ready for such a meeting at any moment. However, Putin continues to manipulate everyone, making deliberately unacceptable proposals, the minister stressed.
