Refugees and rehabilitated soldiers assemble drones in the Netherlands

Ukrainian volunteers in the Netherlands organize workshops on assembling drones. Refugees and Ukrainian military personnel undergoing treatment or rehabilitation in this country learn how to make drones.
Professional instructors manage the assembly of unmanned aerial vehicles. After all the parts are assembled and soldered, they are tested and handed over to the military at the front.
The drone assembly project in the Netherlands (DroneAid) was initiated by Yana Rudenko, co-founder of the ABBA (Adriatic-Baltic-Black-Azov Seas) student association.
“Now we are holding drone assembly workshops in Utrecht. We invite Ukrainian military personnel who are undergoing rehabilitation in the Netherlands, as well as refugees. There are people here who are dealing with drones, electronics, and soldering for the first time. Building a community of people who will be interested in drones, is very important. We also contribute to the rehabilitation of our military, give them an additional opportunity to realize themselves and continue to work for the victory of Ukraine, – speak Yana.

Citizens of the Netherlands or foreigners can also help assemble drones for the Ukrainian army.
“If a person has donated the full amount of the cost of the drone, then we give the opportunity to come to the workshop and assemble the drone by yourself. That way, the person can see the result of his donation,” says the author of the DroneAid initiative.
The project has been running for three months. During this time, the volunteers managed to hold 8 workshops during which 65 drones were made.
The DroneAid initiative cooperates with the Eyes on Ukraine foundation, which since 2022 has transferred more than 700 drones, 25 cars, dozens of generators and other equipment to the Armed Forces.
