Renovations begin at the Yagodyn–Dorohusk checkpoint: temporary inconveniences possible

From Monday, August 4, 2025, repair work will begin at the Yagodyn-Dorogusk international road checkpoint, which may cause certain complications when crossing the Ukrainian-Polish border. About this reported State Customs Service of Ukraine.

As part of the repair measures, it is planned to renew the roof, canopies, retaining wall, as well as internal premises in the customs control area. Due to this, it is possible to partially block certain traffic lanes, which can cause delays and temporary inconvenience for drivers and passengers.

At the same time, the State Customs Service noted that despite the restrictions that may arise, a significant impact on the overall throughput capacity of the checkpoint is not expected. According to the plan, the work will last until September 30, 2025. They are carried out by the Infrastructure Recovery and Development Service in the Volyn region.

We will remind you that “Yagodin-Dorogusk” is one of the key border crossing points between Ukraine and Poland. In July, this direction was already in the news due to the decision of the Polish court, which banned the protest action of carriers blocking traffic. A new record was also set at the end of July: during the week, more than 753 thousand people crossed the border of Ukraine — this is 1.2% more than the previous week, and more than in any other period of the year.
