The Cabinet of Ministers additionally allocated 1.5 billion hryvnias to frontline regions for the protection of energy facilities

The government decided to allocate an additional 1.5 billion hryvnias to the frontline regions to strengthen the protection of energy infrastructure. This was announced President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy after a meeting with Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko.

“The government allocated an additional 1.5 billion hryvnias specifically to the frontline regions for the protection of energy facilities. A reserve of equipment for the prompt restoration of energy supply has been formed, and we will increase this reserve. Separately, they discussed the situation in the gas sector, increasing gas reserves and providing for people.

They agreed that in the near future the government will adopt a resolution that will maintain a fixed price for natural gas for domestic consumers. Also, a decision has already been made on a moratorium on the disconnection of consumers in front-line communities from energy supply. Despite all the challenges, we have to support the communities that have the most difficulties now, the president said.

He ordered the preparation of proposals and a report on specific mechanisms for raising teachers’ salaries, so that the decision to increase wages could be implemented next year.

“It is important to have tangible results in support of internally displaced persons. I am waiting for government officials to report on these two issues at the end of this week, Zelenskyi added.
