During the night and morning of November 26, the Defense Forces of Ukraine successfully repelled a large-scale air attack by the Russian Federation, shooting down 76 attack drones. The Russian military launched four Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the territory of the Voronezh and Kursk regions. In addition, a record number of kamikaze drones were used: 188 Shahed attack UAVs and drones of an unspecified type, launched from Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile systems, electronic warfare equipment, as well as mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in the defense of the Ukrainian sky. As of 09:00 Tuesday, the destruction of enemy targets was recorded in 17 regions: Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Rivne, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Mykolaiv.
“Unfortunately, critical infrastructure objects have been hit, and private and apartment buildings have been damaged in several regions due to a mass UAV attack. Previously, there were no victims or victims.”, the message says.
