Russian attack on Kyiv region injures truck driver and damages infrastructure

On the night of December 27, during a massive missile and drone attack by Russia, explosions were heard in the Kyiv region. Damage to residential and civilian infrastructure was recorded as a result of the strike, and one person was injured.

According to information from the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, a truck driver from Ivano-Frankivsk region was injured. The man received shrapnel wounds to his back and was hospitalized in a local hospital.

In Vyshgorod, a blast wave broke out windows in a multi-story residential building. During the attack, one person was trapped under the rubble of a collapsed building — rescuers unblocked the victim and handed him over to medics. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service worked with people at the scene.

In the Boryspil district, production facilities and two cars were damaged. In the Buchanan district, a fire broke out on the territory of a construction site due to an enemy strike. In the Obukhiv district, the premises of a communal enterprise of one of the communities were destroyed.

As of this morning, the air alert in the Kyiv region was ongoing. The Air Force warned of the threat of strike drones and cruise missiles aimed at Kyiv and the region.

The number of injured has increased to 19 people. This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko and Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Timur Tkachenko.

As of 10:00, it was confirmed that 19 people were injured in the capital, including two children. Eight people were taken to hospitals for medical care.
