According to their data, the goal of the occupiers is the implementation of one of the most ambitious tasks within the Donetsk region — the capture of Pokrovsk. The enemy is trying to implement this plan in various ways — from direct attacks after an active advance to “cunning” actions of subversive and reconnaissance groups that managed to penetrate the city, albeit for a short time.
“But today, the situation is unfolding in a similar scenario, which we have seen more than once in the performance of katsapny – going out on the flanks and hunting for logistics. The first attempts to bypass the city were in the Kotlyny region, but the Defense Forces, with joint efforts, were able to stop the enemy and even at a certain point improve the tactical position. However, the enemy achieved his goal, blocking the logistics along the road to Pavlograd. Enemy crews with optical fiber are actively working on this section of the road and movement there is almost impossible. Currently, there are no great prospects for further advancement in this area and the SOU is doing everything possible for this.” – says the message.
At the same time, the enemy has now concentrated its efforts on the settlement of Rodynske, where it already has certain preliminary results. Analysts emphasize that if the densely built-up area of Rodinsky is retained, the occupiers will use it as a stronghold for the deployment of infantry.
“Also, the enemy will drag drone crews there, which will be able to freely cover the affected zone of 15-25 km around. And the first target that will bring the most unpleasant consequences is Grishina, which is also located in the lowlands from Rodinsky, which increases the advantage in control over logistics. There may also be attempts to climb in the direction of Shevchenko, which will also make it possible to have a fire influence on the logistics of Ukrainian fighters. However, it is difficult to predict here, because everything depends on the situation that will develop during the hostilities, and what priorities the enemy will set based on it.” – analysts explained.
Currently, the situation in the Pokrovsk region is concentrated around Rodinsky, where intense fighting continues. The defense forces of Ukraine are making maximum efforts to restrain the advance of the enemy.
