SAP filed a lawsuit with the VAKS for the confiscation of the assets of the head of the eco-inspection of Donetsk region for more than 8 million hryvnias

The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office has filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court to declare as unfounded and collect assets worth more than 8 million hryvnias, owned and used by the head of the State Environmental Inspection in the Donetsk region, Oleksandr Yevtukhov. This is reported by the Anti-Corruption Center.

In the statement of claim, it is stated that the subject of the appeal was part of the funds spent on the purchase of cars of various brands and years of manufacture — Toyota Avensis (2013), Volkswagen Tiguan (2019), Audi A8 (2008), BMW X5 (2022), Volkswagen Tiguan (2024), Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (2021) and Audi Q8 (2021). In addition, the list includes about five hundred thousand hryvnias, received from the sale of questionable assets, and another 555 thousand hryvnias, used to form monetary savings. Separately, prosecutors emphasize the 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan car, the market price of which at the time of purchase was almost two million hryvnias.

The investigation established that the said vehicles were bought by Yevtukhov’s wife at prices lower than market prices, but the official could directly or indirectly dispose of them.

Analyzing the property status of Yevtukhov and his wife, the SAP came to the conclusion that such wealth could not be obtained legally. In addition, in 2021 and 2024, the family had no official income that could be used to build up the monetary assets listed in the declarations. In this regard, the prosecutor appealed to the court with the demand to declare the assets unsubstantiated and charge them to the state income.

VAKS has already seized an apartment in the village of Chayki near Kyiv, a third of an apartment in Makiivka, a parking space belonging to Yevtukhov, as well as a 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan and a 2020 Ford Mondeo owned by his wife.

This lawsuit became another within the scope of the civil confiscation mechanism introduced at the initiative of the Anti-Corruption Center.
