The Armed Forces of Ukraine began to use Japanese engineering vehicles at the front

The Ukrainian military has recently started to use Japanese Morooka PC-065B engineering machines on the front lines — tracked platforms with a load capacity of up to five tons with a three-ton crane. About this reported Forbes analyst David Ax.

The Morooka PC-065B is capable of lifting loads weighing up to three tons and moving even through mud and swampy terrain. These machines are extremely effective for building defensive fortifications, which is especially important for the outnumbered Ukrainian infantry.

“The PC-065Bs are not armored or armed, but they play an important role on the front lines. With excellent mud handling, spacious cargo bays and cranes, these vehicles help engineers build bunkers and other fortifications that allow Ukrainian infantry to survive artillery and drone fire and repel powerful Russian attacks.” David Ax notes.

The tracked chassis and low weight for its size provide the machine with high maneuverability in the spring mud of the countryside, as well as in the swampy areas of southern Ukraine. This makes the Morooka PC-065B particularly useful in difficult frontline conditions.

Despite numerous advantages in mobility and carrying capacity, the weak point of this technique is the lack of protection – the light design makes it extremely vulnerable to any fire impact.
