The Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for the functioning of the eFishery electronic system
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution approving the Procedure for the operation, filling and management of the Unified state electronic management system of the fishery sector eRybalstvo.
Implementation of this system will allow entrepreneurs in the industry to draw up documents and obtain the necessary permits much faster, minimizing bureaucratic procedures. According to calculations, the time for issuing permits will be reduced from 30 to 2 days. This will ensure greater transparency in the fisheries sector, reduce administrative pressure and minimize the risks of corruption.
In addition, eFisheries will provide businesses with access to up-to-date information on resources and regulation, which will facilitate better planning of activities. Automation of processes will reduce the costs of companies for paper document circulation, ensuring annual savings of about UAH 150 million.
Detinization of procedures is expected to bring from 15 to 150 million hryvnias per year to the state budget. And thanks to the legalization of illegal fishing, the share in the gross domestic product can increase by UAH 500 million annually.
eFisheries is a national electronic management system in the field of fisheries, which provides access to data about the industry and its infrastructure. It was created to implement the Law “On Fish Farming, Industrial Fishing and Protection of Aquatic Bioresources”. Administration and management of the system is carried out by the State Fisheries Agency, which is its official holder.
