The Cabinet of Ministers approved the unified Procedure for connecting to centralized water supply and drainage networks
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution establishing a unified Procedure for connecting residential buildings, businesses and other facilities to centralized water supply and drainage systems. This was reported by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.
The document defines clear rules and requirements for customers and service providers, introduces a transparent method of calculations and prevents arbitrary connections. This ensures a level and fair playing field for all parties.
The rules provide for the determination of the rights and obligations of customers and contractors, establish a clear procedure for obtaining technical conditions, concluding contracts and signing acts of completed works, a transparent mechanism for determining the connection fee, as well as mandatory equipment of facilities with commercial water metering units. The adoption of the regulation closes gaps in the legislation, where each company in the industry could apply its own approaches to connection. From now on, a unified procedure will apply for the entire country.
This decision is expected to increase the quality and safety of services, reduce the risks of conflicts between customers and contractors, and stimulate investment in the field. In addition, the document brings Ukrainian legislation closer to European standards in the field of communal services.
