The Cabinet of Ministers is launching a new experimental platform for residential housing
In Ukraine, the implementation of the experimental project of the Unified Platform of Housing and Communal Services (ZhKP) is starting. This innovative service will give users the opportunity to create their own electronic cabinet, where they can get information about tariffs, conclude or terminate contracts online. About this stated Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
In particular, he emphasized the importance of this step for streamlining housing and communal services in Ukraine.
“The launch of the Unified Housing Housing Platform is an important step on the way to automating processes and improving the quality of service provision. Users will have convenient access to all the necessary information, including data on managers, service providers, prices and tariffs, and will also be able to quickly resolve their issues online.” – he emphasized.
Shmyhal noted that the platform will be integrated with other information systems, which will allow for effective data exchange and improve customer accounting.
“We expect that as many communities as possible will join the implementation of this project,” added the prime minister.
Regarding tariffs, Ukraine has a moratorium on their increase for gas, hot water and heating, but it does not apply to electricity and cold water. In the Memorandum with the IMF, the Ukrainian authorities note the possibility of gradually increasing utility tariffs for the population, as soon as conditions permit. The National Bank of Ukraine predicts that the tariffs for individual housing and communal services services will remain unchanged during 2024, however, the difficult state of the energy sector and the state budget may lead to a gradual adjustment of tariffs in the following years.
