The Cabinet of Ministers transferred to the Ministry of Defense the function of determining the criticality of military defense enterprises

The functions of determining the criticality of enterprises of the defense-industrial complex and organizing the booking of their employees were transferred to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in connection with the liquidation of the Ministry of Strategic Industries. The relevant decision was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The criteria used to define military defense enterprises as critical remain unchanged. The status, obtained from the former Ministry of Strategic Industries, will be valid for one year from the date of grant if the enterprise is in the process of executing government contracts. At the same time, other enterprises can already apply for critical status by sending a request to the e-mail address of the Ministry of Defense.

Enterprises that are officially recognized as critical and perform government contracts to support the Security and Defense Forces receive the right to reserve 100% of conscript workers. In addition, they will be able to use preferential lending at 5% for the development and scaling of production. This will allow enterprises, even in the most difficult conditions of war, to work continuously, maintain teams of specialists and perform tasks for the army and the state.

“Protection of personnel resources of defense enterprises is a matter of national security. Many key industries work in the most difficult conditions so that the army receives modern weapons and equipment in a timely manner. We are improving the conditions for their uninterrupted work,” stressed Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Hvozdyar.
