The court chose a preventive measure for the accomplice of the People’s Deputy Skorokhod

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) reported on its Telegram channel that the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court has imposed a preventive measure on one of the accomplices of People’s Deputy Hanna Skorokhod. According to the SAP, the persons involved in the proceedings are suspected of involvement in a scheme related to the “sale” sanctions of the National Security and Defense Council for a reward of 250 thousand dollars.

As the prosecutor’s office notes, the judge of the Supreme Court of Criminal Appeals supported the motion of the NABU detectives, which was approved by the SAPO prosecutor, and determined that the suspect be held in custody with an alternative bail of 4 million 542 thousand UAH.

The SAPO clarified that after posting bail, the suspect will be obliged to:
• appear at the summons of detectives, prosecutors or an investigating judge;
• not leave the borders of Ternopil without the permission of the investigation or the court;
• inform about the change of residence or work address;
• avoid contact with persons specified in the resolution;
• hand over documents for travel abroad for safekeeping;
• wear an electronic monitoring device.

As previously reported, searches were conducted at the home of a People’s Deputy from the “For the Future” group. She is suspected of receiving a significant bribe. Later, Hanna Skorokhod confirmed the conduct of investigative actions, stating that she views the situation as “direct pressure on the opposition”.

 Deputy Hanna Skorokhod was elected to the Verkhovna Rada in 2019 from the 93rd district in the Kyiv region. At first, she was a member of the “Servant of the People” faction, but was expelled that same year. Later, she joined the “For the Future” group and repeatedly publicly criticized the current government.
