Journalists of Bihus.Info discovered numerous real estate belonging to the family of Deputy Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko – Volodymyr Prokopiv, which includes significant objects in the capital. Prokopiv, who has been a deputy of the Kyiv City Council since 2014 and has held the position of deputy mayor since 2021, has become a subject of a new investigation.
In accordance with materials journalists, in 2015, Prokopiv’s father-in-law, Andriy Sturmay, registered the company “VP SERVICE” LLC. This company purchased various real estate objects in Kyiv, including apartments and offices, with a total area of about 600 square meters. m. In 2020, the company also purchased 150 square meters. m in the elite residential complex “Tetris Hall”. It is interesting that during this period, according to the investigators, Sturmai had no other business and received a salary from the company “Ivanofrankivskgaz”. Prokopiv himself claims that his father-in-law works abroad in the construction industry.
The journalists also discovered that Prokopiv’s mother-in-law, Stella Sturmai, became the owner of a private house in the cottage town “Nova Khodosivka”. The area of the house is about 190 square meters. m, and its market value at the time of purchase is estimated at approximately 180 thousand dollars. The last position of the mother-in-law was the position of deputy for educational and production work at the art school in Ivano-Frankivsk, where she received a salary of no more than 20 thousand hryvnias per month.
Prokopiv’s wife, Vera, also owns real estate. She purchased a commercial premises with an area of 600 square meters. m in the residential complex “Teremka”, which cost UAH 13 million. In addition, she invested in a three-room apartment in the “Happy House” residential complex, paying UAH 2 million for it, although the market value at that time was twice as high. Vera Prokopiv also owns the company “VP GRUP”, which invested in the construction of the “Signature” residential complex on the second day after the full-scale invasion. In the spring of 2023, she purchased another commercial premises of 70 square meters. m in the residential complex “Metropol”.
Prokopiv himself, in response to journalists’ questions, said that he is an expert in real estate and simply knows how to bargain profitably.
