The first volunteers of the Ukrainian Legion, formed in Poland, arrived in Ukraine
The first unit of the Ukrainian Legion, created in Poland, has already left for Ukraine. Further training of legionnaire volunteers will continue at training grounds in Ukraine. About this reported Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland Vasyl Bodnar.
“This is actually a success story that some politicians or Russian propaganda are trying to turn into a negative fact. The process, of course, we would like it to go faster, but it goes as it goes. We are working to make this information publicly available in all EU countries, and possibly overseas.
We can stimulate only by voluntary encouragement, this is a completely voluntary unit. I am sure that our citizens who apply to him will be satisfied with good training.”, he said.
The ambassador emphasized that the unit is formed exclusively on a voluntary basis, and encouragement is possible only through voluntary participation. According to him, on January 10, the next group of volunteers will sign contracts with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and go to the Polish training ground.
Vasyl Bodnar did not announce the number of volunteers, but earlier it was reported that more than a thousand applications were submitted to the Ukrainian Legion in Poland.
