The government has simplified the procedures for applying for and paying basic child benefits
The government has simplified the procedure for processing and paying key state benefits for families with children, including payments in connection with pregnancy and childbirth, benefits for caring for a child up to one year old, and the e-Nursery program. This was announced by the Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity, Denys Ulyutin.
From now on, you can apply for these payments not only at the Pension Fund service centers, but also through administrative service centers or through authorized representatives of territorial communities, which significantly expands access to services.
The mechanism for crediting funds has also been updated. Assistance in connection with pregnancy and childbirth has been allowed to be received on the current account of “Diya.Kartki” without applying a special usage regime. Payments for childcare until the child reaches one year of age and assistance under the “e-Nursery” program can be credited to any bank card with an open account with a special usage regime, while the areas of spending these funds have been expanded.
The deadline for submitting an application for childcare assistance up to one year of age has been extended – now you can apply within three months after the child reaches one year of age. In addition, the period for processing “e-Nursery” assistance has been increased.
If one of the parents starts working full-time and submits an application within six months, the payment will be accrued immediately for this entire period. The calculation will be carried out from the month following the child’s first birthday, but not earlier than January 2026, until the month of reaching the age of three.
As a reminder, from January 1, Ukraine updated the amount of state assistance for families with children. In particular, at the birth of a child, parents receive 50 thousand hryvnias. The payment in connection with pregnancy and childbirth for women without state social insurance, as well as the monthly allowance for caring for a child up to one year old, is 7 thousand hryvnias.
The amount of assistance under the “e-Nursery” program for children aged one to three years in the event of full-time employment of one of the parents is 8 thousand hryvnias.
