The government has softened the tariff for “light” for houses with electric heating

The Cabinet of Ministers approved a resolution providing for the differentiation of preferential electricity tariffs for consumers who use electric heating. The full tariff of UAH 4.32 per kWh will now apply only to consumption volumes exceeding 2,000 kWh. About this reported Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
“Consumers who use electric heating installations will from now on pay the full tariff only for those volumes of electricity that exceed the limit of 2,000 kWh. For the rest of the consumed electricity, they will pay at the tariff of UAH 2.64. The corresponding decision was made today.”, says the message.
We would like to remind that previously the preferential tariff in the amount of UAH 2.64 per 1 kWh was valid only for consumers who used less than 2000 kWh per month. However, a significant number of consumers exceeded this limit and were forced to pay the entire volume at the full rate.
“To correct this, a resolution was adopted on the differentiation of the preferential tariff at the expense of the PSO mechanism. This decision is part of the comprehensive support for Ukrainians, which we are introducing this winter and which will continue after its end.” Shmyhal explained.
