The head of the National Academy of the Land Forces, Pavlo Tkachuk, is going to be fired
The head of the Lviv National Academy of Ground Forces named after Petr Sagaidachny, Lieutenant General Pavlo Tkachuk, will be dismissed in the near future. About this reported People’s Deputy Yuliya Yatsyk.
According to the results of the investigations conducted by the Temporary Investigative Commission (TCC), documents are currently being prepared for the issuance of an order to dismiss General Tkachuk from the position of head of the academy. The reason for this decision was numerous complaints from the academy’s cadets. They reported harassment, humiliation, bullying, the lack of necessary medicines in the medical center, poor quality of food and the so-called “mouth cashier”, when cadets were forced to independently finance the purchase of printers, paper and detergents.
“The TSK received a collective complaint from the cadets of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman P.Sagaidachny. The complaint concerned the granting of dismissals to cadets only if their parents or wives come to pick them up. In my opinion, the situation is absurd when a 30-year-old officer is taken later, one of the authors of the complaint, Oleksandr Volodymyrovych P., came to TSK and told about the return side of the “ideal picture” of an exemplary academy”, – reported Yatsyk.
One of the cadets, who signed the collective complaint, personally came to the TSC meeting and spoke about the hidden problems of the academy, which contrast with its public image of an exemplary educational institution. These testimonies became another argument for the decision to release General Tkachuk.
