Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klimenkov, during a working visit to the eastern direction of the front, checked the state of providing the Ukrainian military with equipment, ammunition, food, uniforms and equipment. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Defense.
During the trip, Klimenkov met with military personnel, listened to the reports of commanders of various levels about current needs and the situation at the front. On the basis of the received information, operational decisions were made, in particular regarding the supply of ammunition. The units received the necessary means for conducting fire and effectively repelling enemy attacks.
“On the instructions of the minister, we checked the security at the front. A long chain of conveying information about needs “on command” does not work – because we lose precious time. Identified problems were “closed” immediately. I believe that this will be a signal and an example – if problems arise, the ministry is ready to get involved and solve them.” Dmytro Klimenkov noted.
In other areas of provision, the military currently has enough food, clothing, body armor and helmets. Necessary stocks are also created.
“In matters of supply and equipment, we can already see the results of systematic work: servicemen are fed, clothed and have a stock of resources. We aim to have weapons and ammunition in reserve as well.” – emphasized the deputy minister.
