The Ministry of Defense codified the ground robot “Spider”

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has officially codified and allowed the ground-based robotic complex “Spyder” to be put into operation in units of the Armed Forces. This was announced by the Main Directorate for Life Cycle Support of Weapons and Military Equipment, informs press service of the Ministry of Defense.

NRC “Spyder” was created by Ukrainian engineers taking into account the real combat experience of the Ukrainian military. The complex has several modifications and can be used for logistical tasks, as well as engineering work. Taking into account the wishes of the military, the developers improved the platform, providing an increased range of remote control.

The complex is compact — two Spiders can easily fit into the body of a military pickup truck. The weight of one platform is slightly more than 50 kg, while it is capable of transporting up to 100 kg of payload. Each machine is equipped with four engines, which ensures high mobility and endurance in difficult conditions.

Among the key advantages are high maneuverability, convenient control, resistance to the influence of enemy electronic warfare equipment, as well as the ability to work in a confined space and on difficult terrain. “Spiders” confidently overcome steep climbs, are able to move with a lateral inclination, and a full battery charge is enough for several hours of continuous work.
