The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has introduced a new standard for training the military for extreme conditions
Ministry of Defense of Ukraine presented updated standard of military training for work in extreme conditions. The new approach is aimed at strengthening the stability of personnel in conditions of increased complexity that may arise during the execution of combat missions.
“Preparation for survival in extreme conditions is an integral part of military training. The risk of being isolated or performing combat missions under difficult circumstances accompanies military service. Our goal is to provide soldiers with the necessary knowledge and prepare instructors who will help them stand the test.
At the same time, the implementation of such a standard brings us closer to NATO principles, which is an important step on the way to Euro-Atlantic integration.”, – noted Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov.
The training covers the ability to operate in conditions of extreme temperatures, lack of resources and other adverse factors inherent in complex geographical conditions.
A key element of the program is the creation of a new instructor training system. They will not only impart the necessary knowledge, but also work on the formation of the military’s psychological readiness for extraordinary tests.
