The Ministry of Education has postponed the application deadlines for state grants for higher education

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announced the postponement of applications for state grants for higher education. The estimated start date for accepting applications is September 15, 2024. About this informs press office of the Ministry of Education and Culture.

The ministry notes that the changes are related to the update of the Resolution on the implementation of the experimental project of providing state grants. The new application system will be simpler and more efficient, although the basic criteria for granting grants and their amounts will remain unchanged.

One of the key changes will be that students will be able to submit applications exclusively through the Diya mobile application, without the need to register through the EDEBO electronic office or open special bank accounts. The application can be submitted independently, without the participation of parents or legal representatives.

The MES also reported that the grant granting procedure will become faster and less bureaucratic. Details of the updated application submission algorithm will be published on the Ministry’s official website.

In addition, the Ministry of Education and Culture held a meeting with higher education institutions to discuss the relevant changes and their implementation.
