The murder of Parubiy has signs of a commissioned nature, the involvement of the special services of the Russian Federation: the SBU is possible
The Security Service of Ukraine believes that the murder of People’s Deputy Andriy Parubiy has signs of a premeditated nature, and the special services of the Russian Federation may be involved. The law enforcement officers received such information during the first investigative and operational actions after the arrest of the alleged killer.
“The crime has signs of a commissioned nature. There is operational information that indicates the possible involvement in the organization of the murder of the special services of the Russian Federation. We are cooperating with law enforcement colleagues to identify all those involved in this audacious crime, confirm sources of information and collect evidence,” Vadim Onishchenko, head of the SBU Department in Lviv Oblast, said.
Let us remind you that on the night of September 1, employees of the SBU, the National Police and the Prosecutor’s Office detained a man suspected of murdering Andrii Parubiy. Thanks to coordinated work, law enforcement officers managed to track down the suspect within 24 hours of the attack, and he was arrested within 36 hours.
The detainee’s actions are qualified under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Part 1 of Art. 115 (intentional murder) and Part 1 of Art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons). The investigation and detention were under the personal control of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing. The law enforcement agencies will provide additional information on the further progress of the investigation and new confirmed facts.
