The National Cashback Program holds the record for the second month in a row

In June 2025, Ukrainians again received about 490 million hryvnias in cashback for the purchase of Ukrainian-made goods. The same amount was paid out in May, and this is the highest figure since the launch of the National Cashback program. About this reported Ministry of Economy.
Despite the difficult economic situation, interest in the initiative remains at a consistently high level, which indicates the willingness of consumers to consciously support the domestic producer. The data was published by the Ministry of Economy.
June became the second month in a row when payments under the program reached the level of 490 million hryvnias. More than 3.5 million Ukrainians who fulfilled the terms of the program received payments. This is about 10% more than in April. While maintaining the dynamics, the program actually established a new norm — almost half a billion hryvnias in compensation every month.
Since the launch of the program in September 2024, the total volume of payments has reached approximately 3.4 billion hryvnias. In June, the Cabinet of Ministers additionally allocated another 2.4 billion hryvnias from the reserve fund in order to avoid delays in further payments and to guarantee the smooth operation of the initiative.
More than 1,800 Ukrainian manufacturers participate in the program. Cashback applies to more than 400,000 consumer goods — from food and household chemicals to books and pharmaceutical products. This means that the consumer can reap rewards in almost every segment of basic consumption — without having to change habits or make compromises.
The presence of such a wide range of products turns the program into a part of everyday life: the consumer receives compensation not for an exceptional purchase, but for a regular check at a grocery or pharmacy store, if he chose a domestic brand.
The majority of program participants are women (61%), 39% are men. The program is also more actively used by people under the age of 45 — they make up 58.5% of the total number of cashback recipients. This indicates the digital activity of the younger generations, who are not only able to integrate new tools into their daily financial activities, but are also willing to support the internal market consciously.
In general, the program gradually acquires the character of a mass social habit, which combines elements of consumer benefit and economic patriotism.
Funds received under the program are not subject to cash withdrawal. But they remain quite suitable for expenses within the framework of approved areas: payment of utility services, purchase of books, medicines, subscription to publications. In addition, each user can voluntarily transfer these funds to charity, to the needs of the Armed Forces, or purchase military bonds for them.
This means that the recipients do not just save money, but are able to decide for themselves where to direct part of the resources — for living, knowledge, health or for helping the front. Actually, this is the multi-level meaning of the program: from direct stimulation of domestic consumption to strengthening economic and defense stability.
