Ukrainian-made robots are already helping the Armed Forces on the battlefield
This year alone, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine issued permits for the operation of 9 Ukrainian-made robots. Such automated systems are already helping the Armed Forces on the battlefield. Machines allow you to conduct combat operations more effectively. In addition, robots often save the lives of Ukrainian military personnel.
The list of developments includes sapper robots, machine gunner robots, drones of various configurations, and systems that help evacuate the wounded from the battlefield.
“Many domestic manufacturers are currently focused on the production of robotic systems with the aim of increasing the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and saving the lives of our soldiers. Only since the beginning of 2024 have codified 9 ground-based robotic complexes created by Ukrainian gunsmiths”, – notes the head of the Ministry of Defense Volodymyr Rochniak.
One of the latest achievements of Ukrainian developers is the MV-4 robot sapper. It is a light robotic machine for demining and disposal of explosive objects.
In April, MV-4 was tested on test sites. The work is not hindered by earth, gravel or sand. The machine continues to work even after objects containing up to 600 grams of TNT fall into the blast radius.
The Ukrainian company A3tech received a certificate of compliance of the DOK-ING MV-4 demining machine with the requirements set forth in Government Resolution No. 271 on mandatory certification of mechanized demining equipment. This will allow the manufacturing company to switch to the industrial production of machines.
MV-4 will be used both for work in the combat zone and for humanitarian demining. Currently, the A3tech company is planning the production of the MV-10 heavy demining machine.
It is much more profitable and efficient to purchase similar systems not abroad, but in Ukraine.
“The assembly and localization of production of demining machines in Ukraine accelerates the repair or replacement of parts in the event of detonation in the fields. In addition, it simplifies access to equipment for humanitarian demining operators, of whom we already have almost 40 and more are undergoing certification,” the Deputy Minister notes economy Ihor Bezkaravainy.
