The number of millionaires in Ukraine has increased significantly over the year

Over the year, the number of millionaires in Ukraine has increased significantly. About this reported Head of the State Tax Service Ruslan Kravchenko.
This year, the number of citizens who declared income over one million hryvnias increased by 6.6 thousand (or by 63%) compared to the same period last year. In total, more than 17,000 people reported such income, declaring an amount equal to 253.6 billion hryvnias. According to the submitted declarations, 8.7 billion hryvnias of tax liabilities have been accrued.
“And one of the residents of Kyiv determined the record amount of his tax obligations from personal income tax and military duty to be paid to the budget – more than 4.6 billion hryvnias.” Kravchenko noted.
In addition, more than 53,000 citizens took advantage of the right to a tax discount, thanks to which 330 million hryvnias will be returned to them from the budget, which is 36 million more than in the previous period.
The current declaration campaign demonstrates an increase in the level of tax culture among the population and an understanding of the importance of paying taxes as an element of social responsibility. Thanks to everyone who honestly declared their incomes — you are contributing to strengthening the country’s economy.
Citizens declared income in the total amount of 326 billion hryvnias, which is 107 billion more than the previous year. The total number of submitted declarations exceeded 170,000. According to the results of the campaign, payers independently calculated 8.1 billion hryvnias of personal income tax and more than 1.5 billion hryvnias of military duty.
